As 2019 winds down, it’s time to look ahead to business building strategies for the new year. The quiet season after the holidays is the perfect time to review your business practices and determine what areas need a makeover in 2020. Here are three places to start.
Refresh Your Website
When was the last time you reviewed your layout and content? In today’s ever-changing online landscape, it’s important to keep a critical eye on best practices for your online presence. An updated website can help you gain new customers, boost your online ranking, and can add in more SEO to make your more findable in online searches.
Create or Update Your App
Does your business have an app or mobile site? If not, you need one! Google only ranks businesses that have mobile sites, so if you want to show up in online searches you need to boost your mobile game. In addition, apps can help you connect with customers, boost sales, and understand customer buying trends.
Redo Your Storefront
Your online presence isn’t the only area that deserves a makeover. When was the last time you updated your storefront? Go outside your store and take a look – what do customers see when they walk by? Look for areas that need improvement. This could be as simple as cleaning the windows or as detailed as new signage and window displays.
While this is not an all-inclusive list, examining these three areas will ensure that your business starts 2020 with the right in person and online presence. In my next post, I’ll dive into the details of refreshing a brick-and-mortar store.
